Founded in March 2007, the institute has 9 researchers: 1 professors, 4 associate professors and 4 lecturers; 3 with doctorate, 5 with master's degree. Based on the community and the characteristics of social work and social services in Sichuan area, it takes depth studies on localization of social work theory and practice. Its research fields are social organizations and community service, community rehabilitation, and senior social work research.
