Welcome ceremony for "Students Summer Service Learning Program" was held on 7 July morning on airport campus. The program, applied jointly by CUIT and Hong Kong Polytechnic University ,was funded by the Ministry of Education, Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. President Liao Simei attended the ceremony and delivered a welcome speech on behalf of College. The service-learning project is part of the Mainland and Hong Kong University Exchange Program. The success of application is based on the cooperation between our college and Department of Applied Social Sciences, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It is the third application and implement with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
    Liao Simei extended appreciation for the support to our social work specialty construction from the team leader, Dr. Shen Wenwei in Hong Kong Polytechnic University since the 2008 earthquake.
    Zeng Weizhi gave a lecture to the team from Hong Kong Polytechnic University about customs and taboos in different regions in Sichuan especially in Wenchuan, which gave a global idea about the traditional culture and customs of the serving place.
